The Long Road to Recovery
Welcome to my blog and thank you for stopping by. I’ve just had surgery on my left knee to re-align the patella and it’s going to be a very long road to recovery, especially as this is the ninth time (yes, that’s nine) the surgeons have been in there! I thought I’d keep a record here of all that’s going on and it might be useful/helpful/encouraging to someone else (as well as keeping me entertained).

( Please note that I will also include a photographic record of my recovery, including the wound closed with staples – it’s nothing gory, but I’ve mentioned it just in case you’re a little squeamish!)
Hospital – Post-op Day 2
I served as an officer in the Royal Air Force for several years before joining the Police Force. After I was assaulted on duty I had to be medically retired due to my knee injury. My ambition is to regain my fitness, or as much of it as possible. I used to have my own horse and loved running and mountaineering. I'm blogging to follow my progress after major knee surgery, asking "Is it better yet?"
